I have been watching a lot of Tv lately, mostly the winter olympics. And to enjoy it fully I made these toffee and walnut blondies. Very delicious. I do like blondies more than brownies. I f you do too I have some other recipes for you to enjoy. What about Cinnamon swirl blondie or White chocolate and raspberry blondie
Toffee and walnut blondies
16 bites
1 ½ sticks unsalted butter
2 ¼ cups packed light brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
¾ cup chopped walnuts, toasted
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup toffee pieces
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350F.  Spray an 8X8 inch square baking pan with nonstick spray and line
the bottom with parcement paper.
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan and stir in the brown sugar until melted together.
Set aside and cool for 5 minutes.
Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt in a baking bowl.
Chop the nuts and toast them lightly in a skillet  over medium heat. ( Toasting the nuts is optional).
Add the eggs, one at a time, into the butter mixture. Whisk to combine. Stir in the vanilla. Add to the flour mixture and stir until combined. Fold in the toffee bits, chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
The batter will be quite thick. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs,  about 30-40 minutes. Cool some before cutting into squares.
