Great way to use ground beef. Tasty meatballs with indian spices. Not quite indian though as i have used beef, but still yummy. I served them with rice but fried potatoes will be just as delicious.
Meatballs indian style
3 servings
16 oz ground beef
3 tbsp bread crumbs
1/3 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp ground cumin
1 1/4 ts salt
1 grated garlic cloves
1/2 tbsp fresh grated ginger
butter
1/3 cup water
3/4 cup double cream
1 cinnamon stick
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp tumeric
1/4 almond slices
Fresh choppet cilantro
Steamed basmati rice to serve
Mix together bread crumbs, milk, garam masala, cumin, garlic and ginger. Let sit for a couple of minutes. Add ground beef and salt. Stir with a wooden spoon until you get a smooth mixture. Use one tablespoon of mixture  and roll each to a meatball. Heat up a frying pan to medium-hugh heat and add 2 tbsp butter. Fry the meatballs until cooked through, about 5 minutes. Remove from the pan. Add water and stir until you losen all the bits in the pan.  Strain and pour back the water/stock. Pour in cream, cinnamon stick, cayenne, coriander and tumeric. Bring to boil and  boil for a minute or two. Add the meatballs and cook until sauce is reduced and meatballs are warm.
Sprinkle over almons and cilantro. Serve with steamed rice.
