Pasta with homemade tomato sauce and these italian meatballs is a popular choice in my family.
Italian meatballs
About 36
2 lbs ground beef
1 cup panko or regular breadcrumbs
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 onion, grated
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
2 tbsp chopped fresh basil
1 tbsp chopped fresh oregano
2 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
2 eggs, lightly beaten

Preheat oven to 400F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Mix panko crumb with milk and let soak for a couple of minutes.
In a bowl add ground beef. Break up the meat with a a wooden spoon.
Grate the onion and the parmesan cheese.  Mince garlic and chop herbs.
Add panko, onion, garlic, eggs, salt,  pepper, parmesan and herbs to the beef. Mix all well together.
I always fry one test meatball in a frying pan to check the seasoning.
Make round meatballs, a little smaller than a golfball, put them on the baking sheets.
Bake for 15 minutes, put on the grill element in the oven and bake for another 2-3 minutes. Watch so they don`t burn.
