This is a really fluffy, creamy and delicious buttercream frosting with Nutella. Recently I celebrated my 50 year birthday......... yes, I know, really old! For the younger ones at the party I made vanilla cupcakes to go with this yummi frosting. The recipe for the vanilla cupcakes you will find here
Fluffy Nutella frosting
24 mini cupcakes/12 regular
1 stick butter softened
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 cup nutella
1-2 tbsp double cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
Beat softened butter on medium speed with an electric mixer. Beat for a couple of minutes until really smooth and creamy. Add 1 cup of icing sugar, mix and then add the Nutella, 1 tbsp of cream and vanilla. Keep beating until you get a really smooth texture. If the frosting is too thick, add 1 more tbsp of cream. When you get the wright consistency, add the salt. Use a piping bag with your choice of tip and decorate the cupcakes when cold.
