Whenever my nephews comes to visit they want me to make a gooey cake with lots of chocolate.
This time I made them a blondie with melted caramel and lots of chocolate.

Caramel chocolate blondies
1& 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 & 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 & 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup caramel bits
2 tbsp double cream
Preheat oven to 350°.
Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Beat butter and light brown sugar until fluffy with an electric mixer. Add eggs, one at a time. Add in vanilla.
Reduce speed to low and gradually add flour mixture and beat just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
Place caramel and cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat at half power in microwave in 30 second increments until caramels melt. Pour caramel over batter. Using a knife, swirl caramel into the batter.
Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely in pan.
